ReSTORYING
Welcome to the ReStorying Space
A crucial aspect of the healing journey involves delving into your life narrative - a challenging process that is never straightforward.
Over the years, the accumulation of negative messages shapes our perspective on ourselves, others, and the future.
Addressing deeper emotional issues, often manifesting as mental health challenges, goes beyond the effectiveness of simplistic strategies.
To assist you in reconstructing this narrative, I employ a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, guiding you through your ReStorying journey with the aim of ultimately helping you become the optimal version of yourself.

Every individual possesses a distinctive narrative shaped by their lived experiences, emotions, and feelings - a unique reality that defines us.
Frequently, these experiences and the 'messages' ingrained since childhood can disturb our self-perception, necessitating a process of 're-storied' reconstruction for a more meaningful life.

Recognising that there is no universally applicable approach, we will collaboratively devise a process where you can feel secure enough to confront and address the discomfort.
This is the space where learning, development, and growth occur—at your own pace and within your own timeframe.
In 2020, I made the transition to the UK from South Africa, bringing with me extensive experience as a counselling therapist and facilitator. I worked within a multidisciplinary team led by a clinical psychologist at a psychiatric step-down facility, where we supported adults and young individuals dealing with psychiatric dual-diagnoses, and complex trauma. Our therapeutic outdoor intervention sessions and programs
were based on creative and experiential modalities such as Equine and Nature-assisted psychotherapy, seamlessly integrated with traditional room therapy sessions.

Encountering highs and lows in life is a universal experience. Our defining moments are not solely determined by successes; rather, they hinge on our capacity to navigate challenges, glean valuable lessons, and transform adversity into stories of triumph.

Sessions can be done in either English, or Afrikaans, or both😊
